Punk is never dead for this seasoned group. Banat Boys is a punk rock band which started in 2008, with members consisting of Paga Manikan (guitars, vocals), Tristan Dehesa (guitars, back-up vocals), Lip Dalangin (bass, back-up vocals), and Butch Ty (drums). With musical influences ranging from rock music’s finest, such as Foo Fighters, Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana, The Living End, and Millencolin, Banat Boys’ music is often described as a mixture of punk rock, grunge, and a hint of progressive rock. Banat Boys is composed of experienced musicians in their own rights: Manikan was the famed lead guitarist for Mayonnaise, Ty is with another underground band Nevertheless, which has released their share of records, and Dalangin did some session work for Mayonnaise while also playing for Skylines Forget. The band had many lineup changes: there was Tristan Dehesa on bass, which was replaced by Tani Cariño, then by current bassist Lip Dalangin. Jabla eventually left the band as well, for personal visions and goal reasons. Ty then took charge on the drum kit for Banat Boys.
