Noel Mendez

Noel Mendez, a session guitarist by profession, started writing songs with his former band, HAYP (The band came up with a radio-hit song “I’ll Wait For You”, which he co-wrote with band frontman JR Guerrero. Notable also was their bass player, the now indie soloist Cynthia Alexander.) Noel, later on joined frontman Rodel Gonzalez in a band named Second Wind. They recorded a self-titled album wherein he wrote two songs, “Afternoon Sun” and another song “What’s On The Other Side”, which he co-wrote with Cynthia Alexander. Francis Magalona hired his services as arranger and guitar player for two albums (at least), “Happy Battle” and “Freeman”. Noel has played on numerous albums (bands and solo singers). From Ogie A., Regine V., Martin N., Gary V., Zsa Zsa P., Side A, and many more. He has played live with practically everybody in the industry, and lent his services to some foreign acts. The list includes Fra Lippo Lippi, Julia Fordham, Pattie Austin, John Ford Coley, David Pomeramz, Kevyn Lettau, and some others.
